Energy Boost: Green Smoothie Bowl

What´s better than a green smoothie? A green smoothie bowl that kick starts your day. Fitness enthusiast Sophia shared her favourite recipe with us. This green smoothie bowl is super easy and I really enjoy having it for breakfast or lunch. It is the perfect energy boost.

Here´s what you need:

2 Bananas – I´m using fresh bananas in winter and frozen ones in summer for a super refreshing breakfast
1 Handful of kale or spinach
1 Apple
1 Cup of water 
Some ginger
Some granola to top the smoothie bowl

  1. Wash the kale and put it into your blender. Then add the apple (if you have a really strong blender you can leave the apple housing in) and the ginger.
  2. Slice the two bananas and add them into your blender.
  3. Now you need to add the water. If you wanna have it extra nutritious you can replace the water with coconut water.
  4. Blend it all up.
  5. Pour the smoothie into a bowl and start decorating it right away. I like to add some berries like pomegranate seeds and some granola on top.
